According to Ordinance No. 70-87 of 15 December 1970, Executive Decree No. 08-214 of 14 July 2008, and Articles 19, 20, and 21 of Executive Decree No. 16-176 of 14 June 2016 establishing the standard statute of higher education institutions, the School’s mission is to:
Provide education in Veterinary Sciences;
Ensure advanced training, scientific research, and technological development in the various specialties of Veterinary Sciences;
Train high-level professionals specialized in veterinary sciences;
Provide medical consultations and specialized biological studies in relation to the sectors concerned with this field;
Conduct research activities in the disciplines taught by the School;
Introduce students to research methods and provide training through and for research;
Integrate innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship into both education and research;
Contribute to the production, dissemination, acquisition, and development of knowledge and expertise;
Introduce students to innovation and entrepreneurship.
Regarding scientific research and technological development, the School has the fundamental mission in its field(s) of expertise to:
Contribute to the national effort in scientific research and technological development;
Promote the advancement of science and technology;
Participate in strengthening the national technical capacity;
Contribute to the development of basic and applied research within national public and private enterprises by encouraging innovation;
Promote the valorization of scientific research results and the dissemination of scientific and technical information;
Participate in the international scientific community by exchanging knowledge and enriching it;
Promote scientific output and encourage healthy competition and emulation.
